West Dallas Wellness Expo - April 18, 2009

The West Dallas Multipurpose Center, located at 2828 Fish Trap Road, will host the annual West Dallas Wellness Expo on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Various health services will be available, including prostate blood tests, child and adult immunizations, diabetes, blood pressure, dental, vision and sickle cell screenings, as well as HIV testing. Pregnancy tests and sonograms will also be offered free of charge. Representatives from various City of Dallas departments will provide information on their services, including Dallas Public Libraries, Police, fire prevention, storm water management, Women, Infants, & Children (WIC), water conservation, diabetes awareness and many more.

Persons seeking employment can also benefit from a job fair. Participating companies include City of Dallas, DART, Senior Source, Auto Zone, DART Police and Farmer’s Insurance. Job Fair participants should bring copies of their resume.

Artists such as Shabling, the Sadunga Dancers, the Wandering Mimes and Byrd Middle School Raiderettes will showcase their talent.

Families can participate in a 5K run / 1K family fun walk. On- site registration for the run / walk will be available.
